"In dreams...If I can dream"

"I close my eyes, then I drift away

Into the magic night. I softly say

A silent prayer, like dreamers do,

Then I fall asleep to dream..."

 

 Children are laughing, happy, carefree, running, leaping, playing together, safe; black, white, and every shade in between; all religions, all shapes, all sizes, cherished.

 

Men and women, equal in their pursuit, achievement of common goals; playing together, honouring, adoring each other. 

 

Families, neighbourhoods, countries, all living - working - together; harmony, respect, love.  Each greeting the other with an open hand, gentle voices, tender touches, compassion.  Celebrating those aspects of being human which unite them. 

 

Every child, woman, and man, with enough to eat.  Every person healthy in body, mind and soul. Open hearts.  Contentment, acceptance, grace. 

 

The earth and all her gifts, all her living creatures - handled with care, nurtured with reverence.

 

ONE community, ONE world, ONE Love.

 

And then..."just before the dawn, I awake and ..."
